Live well, Play well, Learn Well

Our Religion Inquiry this term focuses on us exploring strategies and choices we can be making to help us be the best version of ourselves.  We have been made in God’s imagine and made from love.  It is our job to look after ourselves.  Over the next few weeks we will begin to find out lots of things about our personal health, wellbeing and spirituality.

As part of getting ready for this learning the students were asked to think about what they already know makes a person healthy.  We also brainstormed some wonderings of things we would be interested in finding out about and we did some investigation into our lunch boxes…

Some of the wonderings were about dental and eye health.  I wonder if any of our families know an expert in dental hygiene or eye care who might be able to help us turn a wondering into a discovery?

To begin with…

We have a great start to Term One.  We have done lots of sharing to get to know each other.  In Maths we have collected lots of data and made graphs.  We have written mini autobiographies.  We have explored what it means to bucket fillers and that is one of our goals this year in Grade Two – to be bucket fillers.

Here’s what the beginning of the year has looked a little like…
